The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is getting yet another voluntary recall.
As per a Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announcement, the mid-size SUV produced between August 8, 2022 and November 15, 2022 are subjected to the recall, which is the third one for the vehicle in the past two months.
Toyota reported that a total of 4,026 Urban Cruiser Hyryder vehicles have been recalled to look into a potential problem with the rear seatbelt assembly.
All of the recalled vehicles will be inspected by the firm, and the faulty component will be replaced at no cost to the customer.
Representatives of Toyota dealerships will also contact customers individually for the necessary replacement of the part.
TKM had also recalled 1,390 units of the Glanza & the Urban Cruiser Hyryder manufactured between December 8, 2022, and January 12, 2023, to inspect the airbag controller for a possible issue.
It is pertinent to mention here that Maruti Suzuki had announced on Jan 19 that it was recalling 17,362 units of six of its models to address a potential airbag controller fault.
The models include Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno, and Grand Vitara.
As per a statement by the automaker, the above vehicles manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023; are affected by this fault.
The recall was to inspect and replace the affected part of the airbag controller, which could, in rare situations, not deploy the airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners in the event of a vehicle crash, Maruti added.

Stardom comes with a price tag. Celebrities who enjoy huge popularity and fan following often have to pay the price in the form of online negativity and trolls and Rashmika Mandanna is no exception.
Rashoo had recently opened up about all the negativity she faces on social media and how untoward hate affects her.
Now, the Pushpa actress has shared another cryptic social media post on the negativity she faces.
Sharing a cheerful pic of hers, Rashmika wrote, “Be happy peeps.. keep hope.. your happiness and peace comes above all… Life is just too short for negative feels.”
In the picture, Rashmika can be seen posing for the camera in a beige colour outfit with a wide grin. Rashoo was seeing wearing a wrap skirt with thigh high slit with a crop top and matching long jacket.
However, her smile was the highlight of the picture. She opted for minimal make-up and kept her tresses open.
Last year for the first time, the Mission Majnu star hap opened up about the troll and negativity with a long note to her fans and followers on social media platforms. Here are some of the excerpts from her post.
“I have been on the receiving end of a lot of hate ever since I started my career. Quite literally a punching bag for a lot of trolls and negativity out there. I know that the life I’ve chosen comes with a price– I understand that I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and certainly don’t expect to be loved by every single person out there. That doesn’t mean because you don’t approve of me you can spew negativity instead,” Rashoo had written.
On the work front, Rashmika was last seen in Mission Majnu which is streaming on Netflix. She was praised for the portrayal of the blind girl Nasreen in the movie. She will next be seen in Animal opposite Ranbir Kapoor and in Puspha 2 alongside Allu Arjun.
